Venus and Aphrodite
I’m halfway through Carmilla and I love it. I already went into it knowing I would probably like it, so I’m happy to say it didn’t disappoint. Now I’ve been thinking about what I want to read next. Part of me wants to stick with the dark academia theme and go for Dracula or The Secret History, but I’ve watched Project Hail Mary about ten times in the last few months, and I just know I’m going to adore the book. So stick with the October vibes or go for Rocky? Honestly, I’m about the flip a coin.
In other news, I’ve been debating whether or not to get a Kindle. I’ve only ever read non-physical books (AO3, Libby, KU, etc.) on my phone, so I think it would be nice to change things up and move to something with a slightly bigger screen. I do have a tablet, but that feels way too big for reading. I don’t think I’ll get one of the newly released models because I don’t see the point in spending that much money when I don’t even know if I’ll like using one yet. I’m thinking about getting the basic 11th generation instead. I’m already looking at cute cases for it, which probably means I’ve basically made my decision. I think I’m going to go ahead and buy one soon. By the time I get it, I should be ready to read my next book.

I loooved reading Carmilla and Circe is one of my fav books ! And I think you should take a kobo ! It's so much better than a kindle, there is no ad and you have much more features
ReplyDeleteI've heard such good things about Circe, I definitely want to read it this Autumn! I actually listened to like three chapters of the audiobook last year, and it was really good. Also, I've been looking at the Kobos too. I'm just tempted by the cheap Kindle because I want to see if even like reading on an E-reader before I spend more on one for Christmas.
